The D K Trotter No4
The D K Trotter No4 is a custom build made for Duncan and based upon the Scotton Long Trotter pattern which I was also designing and prototyping at the time. The reel is 4 1/2″ diameter x 1″ wide and comes with two identical spools which both have the over size line lays fitted to combat the strong flow of the Border rivers.
The reel has my own design cam check ratchet with turn button small lever on the back plate in left hand wind. I’ve only made a few reels with this check and its rarity also makes it very desirable. The reel is used but brilliant condition, I’ve given the reel and spare spool a full clean and service so they ready to go.
